We don't just sell dependable sedans and crossovers here at
Bell Road Toyota. You'll also find sell rugged SUVs and trucks among our
selection of new
Toyota vehicles. One of our favorite pickups is the Toyota Tundra and we're
getting ready to welcome a next-generation of this tough truck soon. We're
keeping an eye out for the latest news about it, and the biggest surprise is
that it might come with some hybrid power.
That's right. The 2021
Toyota Tundra might offer a hybrid option. According to the latest rumors,
it could use a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine along with some sort of
electrification. That would be a big change from the current model, which
currently offers two V8 engine options. The current Toyota Tundra has a maximum
output of 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque. The next-generation hybrid
version could beat that.
How is that possible with a smaller engine? While most
people think of fuel savings when they shop for green cars, electric motors can
actually add quite a bit of power as well. An electric motor supporting a
turbocharged V6 engine could boost the total output of the Toyota Tundra to 450
horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque! We can't wait to see what kind of towing
numbers a hybrid Toyota Tundra model can put out, and we can't wait to learn
more about this greener truck when it makes its official debut.

you find it. Visit our Toyota dealership
