Here at Bell Road Toyota, we always look forward to a good
auto show. One of our favorites has to be the SEMA Show. Automakers and tuners
pull out all the stops to develop unique vehicles that might surprise you. Of
course, some new
Toyota models got the SEMA treatment as well.
We've talked about the stylish 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback
a lot lately, so we're not shocked to see that this vehicle made a big splash
at SEMA. Nearly half a dozen modified Toyota Corolla models were on display
this year. One of the standouts included a one-off model that's meant to pay
tribute to the Toyota AE86.
It got a custom body kit and a vinyl wrap that
gives it the look of the classic Toyota AE86. It's also been equipped with
performance upgrades like a custom air intake and a straight pipe exhaust.
Other concepts include a rally car, a Toyota
Corolla designed for drifting, and the bright red Super Street Corolla,
complete with an upgraded engine and quad exhaust system.
Some SEMA cars aren't about performance though. Sometimes
this show gives tuners the chance to show off some rather unique ideas. A
Toyota Tundra, with a built-in pizza oven and hydrogen power, may seem a bit
silly, but it's perfect for an event like SEMA! The Toyota brand teamed up with
Pizza Hut to build the Pie Pro, a modified Toyota Tundra with the powertrain of
the hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai. Could it one day be used to cook pizza right
outside your home and deliver it right away? Perhaps, and that's the kind of
unique idea we love to see at every SEMA Show.
You don't need to drive a SEMA car to have a great driving
experience. Visit our Toyota dealership
near Phoenix and find the perfect car, truck, or SUV today. Our
knowledgeable Toyota dealers will make it easy to find a dependable vehicle
that you'll love.
