A Toyota Super Sports Car

All of us here at Bell Road Toyota are always excited to hear about new Toyota vehicles. We recently covered the revived Toyota Supra on this blog, but it looks like that's not the only performance car that the Toyota brand has in the works. A new “super sports car” may soon make an appearance.

A new sports car would be based on the GR Super Sport Concept, which made its debut earlier this year. Apparently the development process for this new model has already begun, but Toyota designers are mostly keeping things quiet for now. This new model wouldn't be a gas guzzler though. This Toyota sports car would use some of the latest fuel efficiency tech while taking advantage of the best hybrid electric systems around.

You may be thinking that green tech and sporty vehicles don't mix, but that's been proven false in recent years. You just have to look at the concept this new Toyota vehicle would be based on to see that. 

The GR Super Sport concept is powered by a twin-turbo 2.4-liter V6 engine, along with multiple electric motors. It has a total power output of over 980 horsepower, so don't underestimate what a green sports car built by Toyota engineers. We can't wait to learn more about this unique vehicle, and hopefully we'll all get the chance to get behind the wheel of this super sports car very soon.
