The Off-Road Ready Toyota FT-AC

Here at Bell Road Toyota, we're always excited to see a new Toyota concept vehicle. These unique models show off interesting tech and design touches that might not fly on a typical production car. They also could become the basis for a brand new vehicle, or help influence the next generation edition of one of our favorite models. One concept that recently caught our eye was the Toyota FT-AC, a vehicle that's made for going off-road.

Its full name is the “Future Toyota Adventure Concept,” and it will make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. This model will be rugged and ready for just about any road conditions. The teaser images show off some thick roof rails, big fender flares, and off-road lights above the windshield. This concept could be an SUV or pickup truck, which is no surprise considering how much more popular larger vehicles have become in recent years.

This is the second Toyota concept unveiled with the “FT” designation this year. That could be an indication that Toyota engineers are testing the water to see if drivers are looking for a new off-road SUV. Even if it doesn't become a production model, it could actually have some big effects on some upcoming new Toyota vehicles.

That's because the Toyota brand is currently working on new, updated versions of the Toyota 4Runner, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Sequoia. Depending on how this concept is received, its features could show up in future versions of these models. We can't wait to learn more about this unique concept car!
